Biomega Group (‘biomega ® ‘), an innovative biotechnology company that upcycles marine ingredients, will attend Seafood Expo Global – the world’s largest trade show for the seafood industry.
Hosted in Barcelona, Spain, the trade fair will see more than 2,000 companies from 89 countries exhibit at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via Venue between 26 th – 28 th April.
In 2019, the event played host to nearly 30,000 buyers, suppliers and seafood professionals across 155 countries, where approximately 83% of those attending found new products and suppliers.
Set to visit on both days, several biomega ® employees will be present at the tradeshow, including CEO Stig Petersen, the company’s newly appointed CCO Dr. Silke Middendorf, CFO Espen Aarstad, and Harald Hagen, Director of Sourcing.
«Seafood Expo Global is an excellent opportunity for biomega ® to network with industry professionals – from sourcing to supply and processing,» said biomega ® CEO Stig Petersen. “With seafood sustainability and the circular economy high on the industry agenda, we are keen to speak with other key industry players on how they plan to combat climate change and what steps they are taking to do so in their business operations. Visiting Seafood Expo Global enables us to share our own insight and collaborate effectively to close the loop, helping to deliver a truly circular economy. ”
The event, which also hosts a two-day conference program, will welcome speakers from across the industry to share their insight into the economic outlook of the aquaculture market in a post-Covid world, alongside practical advice on how businesses can begin to measure and reduce their carbon emissions.
