Market leaders in the development of salmon protein, hydrolysate and oil for the petfood industry, biomega® will attend Petfood Forum, one of the biggest pet food conferences in the US.

Held in Kansas City, Missouri, the event brings more than 3,000 delegates from major pet food manufacturers and ingredients suppliers through its doors at the Kansas City Convention Center.

The three-day event begins 1st May with the Pet Food Essentials seminar, which focuses on the latest trends, developments and nutritional research in the industry, and ends on 3rd May.

«As one of the largest events in the US, Petfood Forum is well-known to deliver an excellent agenda with insightful discussion topics,» comments Ronald Figee, Commercial Development Manager at biomega®. «As this is our first year visiting the tradeshow, we are most interested to learn around topics such as minimally processed diets and the increasing focus on premium pet food and sustainability – all areas that are of unique interest to us as experts in this field.

«With many manufacturers looking for technologically advanced ways to reduce their environmental impact, biomega® is well-placed to support the industry in this regard. As such, we are looking forward to networking with industry professionals to extol the benefits of our clean energy processing techniques at our two European biorefineries, as well as discussing our involvement in projects that sustainably exploit side streams in the salmon industry. As the USA is a key area for commercial opportunities for biomega® products like our Salmigo® range, we look forward to discussing how our ingredients can be used in sustainable pet food, supplements and snacks.»

Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Silke Middendorf from biomega® will also join Ronald at the event.
