biomega® will attend Fi Europe, the leading global event for food ingredients, this November to highlight its salmon peptide and oil innovations as part of the company’s final tradeshow of the year.

The company, which is a European leader in biorefining technology, will head to Frankfurt, Germany on 27th November to attend the Future of Nutrition Summit before taking in the sights, sounds and taste innovations at Fi Europe on 28th – 29th November.

With more than 25,000 delegates and 1,200 food ingredients exhibitors, Fi Europe will play host to four main themes this year, focusing on plant-based foods, reformulation and ingredient innovations, health and wellbeing, and alternative ingredients and proteins.

biomega® CCO Dr. Silke Middendorf and Commercial Development Manager Ronald Figee will attend the tradeshow to discover the latest trends and insights that will shape the industry over the next five years.

“As consumers demand more nutritious foods with value-added clean ingredients, the food industry is beginning to respond with ways to revolutionise the food chain as we know it”, commented Dr. Middendorf. “Innovations that span from agriculture technology to precision fermentation and bioengineering, means big steps are being taken to support a circular food economy today that will affect the value chain over the next five years.

“At biomega®, we’re already working with suppliers in the aquaculture industry to develop and deliver innovative solutions that are upcycled from our salmon supply chains. At Fi Europe, we’re excited to present our SalMe Peptides, SalMe Collagen Peptides and SalMe Salmon Oil to brand manufacturers in the health and nutrition market. For example, SalMe Peptides S can be used in savoury application forms like soups and snacks, while SalMe Collagen works wonders in applications like gummies or powdered formulations. Our solutions are great for brands that are looking for ways to uplift their new product development with circular applications.”

Alongside a showcase on new innovations, Fi Europe will invite speakers from across the industry to talk on environmental challenges, novel food ingredients and the future of alternative proteins. A women’s networking breakfast will also take place on 29th November.
