biomega®, a market-leading company that develops salmon peptides and proteins for pet food and human nutrition applications through sustainable biorefining techniques, will attend GlobalPETS Forum – Europe’s leading networking event for the pet industry.

Hosted in Berlin, Germany, the tradeshow will bring approximately 240 industry delegates from the world’s leading pet companies to the Hilton Berlin between 25 th – 27th January 2023.

This year’s event focus will explore how the industry is coping with challenges from an ever-evolving omnimarket and how retailers can engage with health and environmentally conscious consumers.

«GlobalPETS Forum plays host to some of the brightest minds in the European pet industry and we are looking forward to networking with delegates at the show,» commented Dr Silke Middendorf, CCO of biomega® . «In attendance from the team will be myself, our Commercial Development Manager Ronald Figee and Key Account Manager Nina Lerbrekk.»

Dr Middendorf continued: «Retailers are increasingly looking to focus on where they can upcycle by-products or materials leftover from the manufacturing process to reduce their impact on the planet’s natural resources. At biomega® , sustainability remains front of mind, so we are keen to understand how retailers are using processes that contribute to – rather than disturb – the circular economy. Through open conversations with pet retailers at events like these, biomega® can help them reach the next level when it comes to sustainably processed ingredients.»

The show will host a three-day conference programme with keynotes from several industry speakers, alongside its award ceremony and social evening.
