Bergen, Norway – September 17, 2025 – biomega® Group, a leading sustainable biorefining company and trusted ingredients partner for the health and nutrition industry, today announces a rotation within its board of directors to be closer to support the company’s development and expansion. This change follows the recent management team changes at biomega® Group.
Tanja Hoel, who joined biomega®‘s board in November 2022, will transition into the Chair position. Based in Bergen (Norway), Hoel has extensive experience in the Norwegian salmon farming industry, where she has worked for more than 20 years. She is currently the Director of Hatch Blue Norway, advising on strategy and investment opportunities within the global aquaculture market.
Sten Estrup, who has been biomega®‘s Chair since August 2020, will continue as an independent board member. Estrup, based in Singapore, has over 25 years of experience across the food and health industries, holding executive roles in operations, sales, marketing, and commercial development. He is currently President AMEA and President Global People & Organizational Performance at AAK, a global leader in sustainable plant-based oils and fats solutions.
